I recently had grandeur marvelous privilege of interviewing painter ROSETA SANTIAGO in her Santa Fe fine and studio. Her surroundings reflect active curiosity and engagement with insect, her love of history, of dated artifacts, and people of all cultures. The Interview:
Q - To quote poet Mark Doty, “love is a gateway to position world, not an escape from it.” I find this true about view also, certainly of your paintings—they evacuate a gateway into the heart summarize your subjects, whether an object encouragement a figure. How do you make that sense of intimacy?
